What's your everyday watch?

If I'm in a third world country or a bad area, Timex Iron Man. Otherwise, Omega Seamaster. I like how luminous it is, and it certainly takes a beating.

Just curious what others use to tell time.

I don't, I use it as an excuse to sidle up to people, then I bum a smoke even though I don't smoke.
Keeps them on the back-foot.

I wear a Citizen Eco-Drive everywhere in every situation. It's the only watch I've found that can take the abuse I throw at it. Yeah, it's a bit flashy in some (read most) of the places I go, but I haven't had one stolen yet. (knocking on wood)

My battered old Luminox is still going strong after about 3 years. The little light has fallen off the second hand but the face itself is still as bright as when I bought it.

I would never buy a Rolex or a Brietling watch, it would be as battered as a cheap watch in two weeks, waste of money

Cheers

Timex expedition. About 8YO and it's been everywhere I've gone, even 100ft underwater.

So simple even I can set it. Had to replace the velcro band twice and if I don't wash the band it can get gamey.

Everyday watch?
I only have one watch (it's not as if I change them everyday like underwear or anything) and it's a cheap Casio that, just like a Rolex, tells the time. It's waterproof (so I can wear it in the shower), has a light and large numbers that give me the precise time. No fancy or confusing dials, just the time, day and date.

No fancy watches, rings or phones to show off with (I don't have a watch for 'special occasions' or to get laid. I just use my watch to tell the time-what else is it for?)
I'm not really a proper reporter, due to the chronic lack of discipline, negligible attention span, and a certain juvenile difficulty taking serious things seriously.

I wear a Rolex Submariner.

It's tough as old boots and has survived 14 years of hard use, including 500 dives, with only one service in all that time.

When I'm abroad, I tend to leave the Submariner at home and wear a cheap watch for the duration of my trip.

I nearly bought the GMT Master instead of the SM, but the third hand confused the hell out of me.

Redundancy pay-offs are a wonderful thing!

I've got an ugly-ass old Timex that my parents bought me for Xmas in 1983 because they thought I should have a watch.

I only wear it when I travel now, for time keeping my cell phone is much better.

For travel watches I make pilgrimages to Daiso:

A whole stack of not-so-stylish watches for $2. Buy five, lose four on the way. The hapless African mugger who swipes your two dollar watch will be right pissed off.

I wear a Rolex Blk-face-Explorer 2 (For the third hand.................I'll explain later Foulplay...:-)
Bought it new 18 years ago.
Because of one incident ,it's had new bezel, glass & face. Fliplock replaced through wear.
Because of that it looks quite new.
Takes the rough-stuff (apart from above) & looks ok with a whistle.

In really interesting places I wear a 1972 Cabot Watch Co.(CWC) Military Issue Mechanical Aviators Chronograph (Valjoux 7765 movement) with grey military canvas strap.
This was given to me and it all works.

I just leave the radio on really!!
