One of my favorite lines of all time, "Where the white women at" from Blazing Saddles. Melo Brookes is great, with the exception of Space Balls
"All there is to thinking is seeing something noticeable which makes you see something you weren't noticing which makes you see something that isn't even visible."

I voted for Dr Strangelove because it deserves a little more credit in this poll. One of the best quotes: "There will be no fighting in the War Room!!"

Has anyone seen Monty Python's Yellowbeard? It's a little harder to find than their others, but it has Cheech&Chong, Peter Cook, others who I can't remember right now. It's about pirates. A must see for any Python fans but a lot of people haven't heard of it.[/u]

Anyone ever watched The Legend of Billie Jean? The entire soundtrack consists of one Pat Benatar song...it gets played over and over throughout the movie. It's a good flick to goof on, but only once!

okay forgot to mention one....any Peter Jackson fans here? check out Meet the Feebles. its an NC-17 muppet musical. you wont believe that the guy who directed the LOTR trilogy would be capable of making this. its fucking hilarious though, a rat making porn in the basement with a couple of cats, a walrus that cheats on his hippopotamus girlfriend, a rabbit that gets VD, etc etc etc...

gotta mention

Postby Chelly » Sat Jul 03, 2004 1:39 am

Rubin & Ed.
straaaange comedy. but very funny.
Cirspin Glover and Howard Hesseman.

and when i see belushi and akroyd thrown out there with no mention of Neighbours, it just makes me ill. blues brothers is about as funny as a gut full of pin worms.

edit for Harun:
that triumph skit is available all over kazaa. and yeah, it is very funny.
christ, what was that line, something to a pregnant Star Wars fan - she says when the baby is due, and triumph says "and that's the last time he'll ever see female genitalia. roar!

The Big Lebowski

Postby eagle13 » Tue Jul 06, 2004 6:36 am

The Big Lebowski - John Goodman is simply brilliant in this movie.

Planes Trains is great, Blues Bros is great. Office Space is underrated.

Some Like It Hot is a classic, but the best is Plan 9 From Outer Space if you haven't seen this movie - get it, Ed Wood was a genius.

Dr. Strangelove (me vote)

Followed by:
Monty Pythons Holy Grail
Private Benjamin
Raising Arizona
Catch 22
As Good As It Gets (I like Jack Nicholson)
Easy Rider (funny moments though not ENTIRELY funny, especially is sad when Jack gets Wacked by the redneck Confederate Sons of Shining Eye)
Cheers,
Dawn
Passion is necessity. It is not diligence, or simply being committed to a goal. Passion consumes you while you chase down your goal. Passion should always be your natural state of mind for it is what sparks momentum and sets the pace.
