A Few Photos from Burma

Heartbreaking Eyes

Image

Best friends. Despite their hardships, many of the kids are always smiling

Image

The little girl on the left and her brother lived inside one of the temples - she couldn't stop laughing and smiling

Image

This young boy carried stack after stack of wood to an area where houses were being built. I never saw him complain, in fact he was little machine.

Welcome to the 'Flag - I hope you've got more photos like these ones.

The Photographs, Etchings and Daguerreotypes forum is easily the most interesting and pest-free platform on the BFC right now, I hope it stays that way

Cheers

Thanks for the welcome and the kind words.

These were taken last years and were shot a few hours outside of Rangoon.

I'll post a few more later today when I get the time.

Obviously I'm being dim here, but what's the last one?
Shes never interfered with me. I have no complaints about her.
Same here.
Mega ditto.
I met her once and I found her to be a nice lady. Not kookey in any way.
Penta has always been gracious, kind and very sane in all my interactions with her.

Exactly, his tooth. It is definitely a rough sport and these guys do not play or talk trash.

I love muay thai. the only sport I practiced constantly in the last couple of years..

knees are deadly but very efficient if u used them right!
I don't want to know who you use, as long as they're not complete muppets

Although there are definite similarities between Muay Thai and Let Wei, or Burmese Boxing, they are also quite different in their approach and also their technique. I'll be going back in a couple of months for what is something like my 25th trip in to Burma.
