I'm not an expert, but I have to give the H.E.S.T two thumbs up as a skinning/ dressing knife. It's easy to sharpen to a razors edge with my Spiderco triangle sharpener and it sliced right through the breast bone when I hit the backside with a rock.

I'm surprised that gun didn't turn that buck into venison hamburger.

Hit a deer once at about 25y with a .300 W/M and the gut pile was pretty much sucked out the exit hole.

Venison is great.

Seriously, I can't believe you went hunting with that big ass heavy thing.

Crazy MF!

Edited to add if that's you're place, it's pretty cool looking.

Ahh the Barrett is a sick piece of machinery. I'm also surprised it left anything for you to skin. Just be careful, too many rounds per day with that thing will fuck you up good.

Like I would waste all that great meat.
I may be crazy & under educated, but I'm not fucking stupid. I shot it with my old Argentinian Mauser.

Ha Ha !

When I get my pc back I'll post some vids of us firing the .50

Why the hell you using a .50 Cal? That is nuts. But then again its a .50 cal so that justifys anything.
I'm struggling to see how that massive projectile actually hit it. Looks like you hit it with a .243 sized bullet
How far were you when you fired it off? The pic of the deer doesn't go with the pic of the rifle. 2 seperate occasions?
Feel free to put more pics up though, keep them coming for sure
That is one very nice piece of gear

I'm feeling very envious about your toy collection.
The heaviest i have is a 30.06 and i never get the opportunity to fire any auto or semi auto weapons cause Aussie gun laws are so tight.
Awesome pics man

A heartwarming thread for Crimbo. On this miserable planet it is good to know there is a little corner of it having a fucking good time.
