"When did the flat stick become obsolete?"

a) Its does not come in a "tactical" flat stick version
b) It doesn't come in digital camo with a Molle system and 1000 denier cordura sheath
c) Its doen'st fold or come in titanium

What an awesome value! A fixed blade knife for only $750 + S/H is probably the best deal since tickets to ride on the Titanic. Hopefully Bear has personally quenched every blade in his own money-grubbing blood.

Also, flat sticks FTW. I kinda like whipping up a set of chopsticks too.

In a world where the Pope can apologise for a millennium of paedophilia with a letter I'm sure Bear Gryllis could sell a knife for well over a $1000.

I myself am in the market for a waterproof, camouflage, fireproof, kevlar, cooking apron that doubles as a poncho/emergency shelter, with tactical web gear attachments to hold my Bear Gryllis combat spatula (I got it pre-ordered, special edition, custom) and my tactical diamond edged pizza slicer/zombie decapitator combo, and also my stainless steel tactical high speed meat tenderizer/ribcage obliterator.

I like to volunteer at a soup kitchen in Newark sometimes, so this gear is essential.

Can't decide whether I want to do a Cordura Tactical Spork & Foon holster (Spoorn?) or a lovely Spork wedding dress.

Image

What's all this I'm hearing about `Foons?'
or Sporfoons?

Image
A foon is the inverse of the spork, and is created through a process known as fooning. The process can only be done on flexible sporks (Taco Bell sporks are right out, they crack as soon as you apply any kind of pressure) and it takes a skilled hand. Beware! You are apt to crack many sporks before you become a true master of the foon.
The process of fooning is as follows:

Place your thumb on the bottom curve of the spork
Gently push in with the thumb until the spork is inverted
If done properly, you may let go and the spork will retain it's foon shape
Once you have your foon a whole new world of enjoyment between you and your spork/foon will open up for you.

Actually, I would like YOUR knife from RAT with this guy's sheath system from hedgehog leatherworks. The problem is ... the Knife is reasonable for the quality at around $100 but this guy wants like $310 for this sheath!!! So maybe it was not Bear but his leather maker that was the issue? lol

My $187 Knife and super survival sheath that included a nice fire starter and diamond hone in the kit price and the sheath makes a great basic 'go kit'. It goes on my left hip with the Glock 21 on the right. An ESSE RC5. I have in it 14 tabs (1 week) of iOsat Potassium Iodide, a peanut lighter (the BEST survival lighter), AAA stainless flashlight and spare battery on 3/32 neck cord, mini bottle of BreakFree CLP oil, signal mirror, signal whistle, DEET mosquito spray pump bottle, foil survival blanket, cotton tender cords, string, metal wire for snares, thread, needle, fish hooks, monofilament line, large safety pins, small roll duck tape, button compass, beef jerky flat sticks, AquaSafeStaw+ water filter, and a couple of other cool things.
