He really seemed to be quite the hiker, he sure got around. I have been to most of the various towns and mining areas in Calif and Nevada that he wrote about back when he was thinking he was a miner. (was that a run-on sentence ?) The story about his exploration of Mono Lake was cool.
Some where in my collection I have some local Calaveras County Ca. published books I got from my grandfather about him. I'll have to find them.
