The MR DP Logo was created in the early 90's by myself and inked by James McKiernan who is a kick ass designer who lived in Long Beach at the time. Its an inside thing kinda like Kilroy was here. You have to kinda be out there to understand the whole thing. People who work and travel to war zones see the stickers, shirts etc in all the right places. There is no music involved :))
We have no problem with getting tats etc but we crush anyone who tries to rip him off and make money from the image. As we recently did with a "trendy" skateboard company.
You can go the photo page on Picassa and see some snaps from rebel groups, Army special forces and other folks who pimp Mr DP.

Thanks man. I find that even more intriguing. Perhaps there was some parallel thinking going on in Long Beach. ST started in 1981 in Venice California. They kind of helped to pioneer the skater punk culture in So Cal. Considering they are in the same neighborhood it is possible they may have crossed paths since ST was a very prolific live act in the LA area. Also, I believe they were involved in the street art community there.
Also, (useless trivia) their bass player, Robert Trujillo is the current bass player for Metallica.
I think it is kinda cool that they may have crossed paths. Thanks for the insight RYP.
If this is the guy:
He does nice work for sure:
Anyone else wanna shit on me for being curious? Please feel free to do so. Oh and all you keyboard warriors keep your silly and empty threats of discussion board violence to yourselves. It really is just douche chill inducing.
