Thoughts on 5.45?

Postby lok8 » Sat Sep 03, 2011 3:07 am

I know the Muj liked it. Have absolutely no experience with the platform outside the .30 cal

I understand the weight penalty of the 74 due to manufacturing constraints. Wondering if that had any bearing on the function ala AR 180 vs AR 15. Lets not get into that..................

Was hoping John O may still be lurking with thoughts opinions and musing about the little bro. Would also be interested in what variants had the best attributes.

BTW- Not really interested in anything less than 16"- or to the point wanting non NFA

Consider this the BFC source selection board.

Homeboy has a couple of Krinks I get to shoot pretty often.
I just haven't got around to setting myself up in that caliber yet. I needs a parts kit in 5.45.

Haven't shot one yet. Haven't very much interest in one - to me it seems like it's a product resulting from the com block trying to "out do" the Euro & America 5.56 choice, but to me I think this is the opposite way I would approach that challenge.

Don't you even equate me with him. I'm much more dense.

Especially after this beer drinking weekend *BURP*

Some Polish dudes at the party I was at had a pair of sks rifles. Looked like they were very well kept. I did not go out shooting with them, but they were going through some rounds out there letting them ripped.

The last one of those I shot jammed some.

These sounded fairly reliable.

I liked the sights.
