Well heeled collectors need to commit seppuku more often.

Well, I know more 'well heeled' folks that actually earned their money, and never stole it. And lots of those guys put funds into their "toys of choice" selectively. For example, I don't go camping, own a Cadillac, or own a hunting cabin or have a sculptured back yard. We all know guys like that, but they don't have gun or knife collections. Matter of choice.

To be fair, I did have safe queens--once. Sold them long ago. I like to use my toys.

However, I do see lots of very expensive 'fighters' out there, and that confuses me. These guys all talk about self-defense, claim that there is need for tactical knives, dress up in cammo like a soldier, drive a huge for-wheel truck, and for the most part it's okay. It's their money.

But the very expensive and well designed knife supposed created for defense is left in the safe. Not much good there. The four-wheeler never gets driven off road, or dirty for that matter. And the cammo stuff just baffles me.

A knife is only 'tactical' if it's used. If I had to list the stuff mine does it would be for loose threads, mail (or UPS) and food. And when I say that I get flames. Should I start advertising in the local paper for duels? Or where does one go for all of this knife fighting?

No thanks, I prefer the experts at our bar.

BTW, could you please document all of the knife fights at your place? Newspaper stories are fine.

LOL. You cannot no longer toss dwarves here, so we pitch drunken townies for soda crackers. Our best 'tosser' was known back in the day as 'Whistler' because he couldn't with that dry mouth.

BTW, RYP, I managed to shake the pivot screw out today. I didn't use the knife, I just rode +100 miles on my big bike on the slab. I wouldn't have even known, but when I reached into my pocket I felt something rough. No biggee. I got home, used the thingie tool gizwachie and tightened it back down. The pivot didn't even come out of adjustment. I think the thing is either a stop-collar or just decorative.

Eh, so goes the life of a real EDC.

To be fair to Mr Pelton, every time I've been on a Harley my pivot screw has been shaken loose as well. Superglue the fucker or sell the bike and get a Kwacker like a real man.

As my funds allow (when I can scrape up enough change without my wife finding out) I'm going to buy one of these (have a friend order it so it can "show up" in my pocket). Good friend who is a knife nut just got one and it replaced the sebbie that he was carrying.

you get all the free pivot screws you want. But that is something worth looking into. Also I thumb tighten mine.

As for the 1.0 clip fitting the 2.0 It should BUT lemme check.

I received my 2.0 almost exactly ten months after I ordered it. Unfortunately, blade play/rattling developed after just a couple of hours of playing with it. Should I take it apart and try to bend the lock bar a bit tighter? Otherwise it seems like a fantastic little knife.
