There are also designs that some people think are hideous and some people love. I think this bike might be one of those designs.

I never have understood the interest in Confederate's bikes. They are ridiculously expensive, highly impractical and weird looking bikes. Is it a status thing or what?

Motorcycles are great. I love all of them in any size, color, and style there is - some a little more and some a little less. If I wanted to ride one though for the sole sake of getting the most on two wheels and everything that means, there is nothing that Confederate makes that would make it far away from the very bottom of the list.

Brad Pitt has one of these.

He's good at crashing and can't ride worth a damn.

My opinion is that these bikes are targeted to those with a hell of a lot of money who aren't really motorcyclists but want to look cool.

Pretty much. That's an insane amount of Torque. I rode a race prepared Ducati once with a minuscule 170 hp and basically had to wipe my ass after I got off, but it did give an all new meaning of shit eating grin...

Ducatis make sweet bikes. They are high maintenance like everything else mechanical from Italy, but they are a damn good motorcycle from tip to tip.

Wow. I am not into motorcycling but I would much rather blow that money on a Cadillac CTS-V Wagon and at least be able to use a 170mph car for grocery shopping.
