LOL, you just beat me to it! Thats awesome and almost as good as "Lifes Hard; It's even harder if you're stupid." I think John Wayne said that or so the legend goes.
CROTALUS: Jefe, I thought your Penta avatar was pretty brilliant, not nearly as offensive as the liberal new age hippy bullshit she constantly spews. Keep up the fight!

I just bicycled across it last summer. I'm from Michigan. There are enormous swamps with swarms of mosquitos, the roads suck, and it's endless, endless, endless expanses of trees. So, it's just like home.
Kind of thinking about the ME and Africa. I have no interest in learning Arabic and I've probably seen enough deserts, having crossed Nevada, Utah, Colorado and Inner Mongolia on a bicycle. Nevada twice. But I do like Falafel and I like seeing old religious stuff, so maybe Israel should be on my list. Also, I like gyros, and am rather fascinated by the ancient Greeks, so the Aegean region is high on my list too.
Be nice to me. I'm a rug muncher.

I thought much the same.

The Arkles and The barlows Arms are two good pubs when it isn't match day, had many a pint in the Barlow....well it was only 200 yards from the old Westminster road nick !! Parade for lates, once round the beat and in the side door for a quick half...gallon

You sound wistful.

And the Admiral Dunkin hasn't been the same since.

Yar! I know you're just trying to bait me into a totally inappropriate post about the Admiral Duncan, smoking and fags. Usually I wouldn't hold back but I figure that gay people get enough of a hard time without me taking the piss out of them being blown up. Although as I recall a pregnant woman was killed, the Admiral Duncan was a decent pub which welcomed all.

As it happens at the time I used to often end up in the Duke of Welly just round the corner from it on Winnett Street (the name of which still makes me laugh 10,000 laughs later) - before it became a gay bar, not that a colonial parvenu like you would remember that period -that bomb was very close to home.

JITW, if you think it's T-shirt worthy, I'll let you have it for the price of two (2) shirts now, and 20% of all profits after you clear the first US$50,000. (Not that this will happen, I just don't want to end up like the guy who invented the yellow smiley face that is now the basis of all emoticon culture.)

How is PNG not on this list? That is the most amazing place, and I don't recommend to anyone simply because of the risks.

Anyway, speaking of MA/DC/VA, Baltimore is probably worse.

I remember some years back, a few of us Flaggers were hanging out at a bar in NYC. One Flagger says to his girlfriend, who lives in Baltimore, "tell them the napalm story." Her reply was, "which one?"

Northern VA - I just say DC because I always get a blank stare when I say "NOVA"

Oh, yeah, don't get her excited...

When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies? To surrender dreams - -this may be madness; to seek treasure where there is only trash. Too much sanity may be madness! But maddest of all - -to see life as it is and not as it should be.

I drove through two raids last week in South Central in 20 minutes...however, I feel more threatened by the police here in Manhattan Beach. There is no crime and they are bored. Bad combination...
