For AK Experts Here: The Krinkov

I currently run an Underfolder Krinkov as my main rifle here in Iraq- if you have any info on the history of the Krinkov I would love to hear it (for some background stuff for an article I am writing). I cant find that much about the background of it on da' net

I don’t have any information to offer but I am very curious about what kind of accuracy you have with the weapon. That looks like a bit of a short barrel.

Not sure if you've seen this, but here you go:

I think the most significant difference between the AK74SU and the AK74U is the stock (underfolder vs. side folder).

The one you currently have is a Yugoslavian M-92, good choice.

You can find all the info you want at www.theakforum.net, look in the "Krink" forum

I am not an expert but when I was Chechnya there were four choices of weapons. Dragunov for sniping, AK 74 for front line work, AK 47 for general stuff and the Krinkov for undercover/car work. Its a great "you talking to me punk?" type of side arm.

It was a tankers weapon and designed for making a shit load of noise when your assailants least expect it. I say noise because one of those rounds is sure to hit something. They are popular in Afghanistan but very expensive. More of a bodyguard gun than a military weapon. Don't know what they cost in Iraq.

And yes Krinkov is what its called by the muj so you can resume your coolness
