I have noticed that the quality of Keens has gone down in recent years. I usually get everyone a new set in the spring, which ends up being four or five pair depending on how the old ones are looking. I have had a lot of delamination problems and things coming unstitched since 2010. Everyone wore them to the beach in Florida and we quickly discovered that the soles hold fine sand like mad. The great news is they drop it all in your car or living room floor. Next up may be a set of plain old Chuck Taylors, field and stream rated them the best fishing shoe for the money.

Chacos! And they re-sole them for free!

I had to toss my OG Keens and buy a new pair. Something happened since they changed the lower heel concept and have gone mainstream. Sandals with a few years of road skank are the equivalent of sweaty polyester track suits for fat people.
