Brother,

I asked for some to be brought to the sale today, but the guy forgot. I am still working on it for you though. This is what I did get.

Those are really cool.

Keep looking for a war rug $300-$500 range with obvious' weapons

Nice ones. I have a few similar ones and a couple of the war rugs myself, one from the Soviet days, one from the current war circa 05 or 06.

That seems a pretty high price even with shipping. You can get decent 3'x2' ones for $50 or less depending on where you are buying.

That's a pretty cool rug John. I'd like something like that.

I've seen what rugs online go for.
The $$$ I'm willing to spend is for shipping and hassle.

I hope that you understand that you will not pay one single cent more than what it cost me buy it and ship it home. I think that I can get you an old Soviet one and a new one (sort of like the one above) for around $200 all in. Shipping back to the house can be as low as 10-15 bucks.

I am going on leave pretty soon, and I will try to arrange another trip to Heart before I go to Kabul. I think that I can make it happen for you by Christmas.

If anyone else wants a rug, and you can trust my judgement/taste I will be happy to try and find you one if you give me a size range and what you are willing to pay for one. I am only going to buy rugs that I would want for myself (I like the style above). So there you go, if you are interested let me know.

Best,

K

I have the same one but it looks like yours has a bit better detail.

This is my Russian themed one I got in 2002 in the man cave.

I 'dig' your rug/musketry/entrenching tool combination (dig, geddit?). A fine man cave selection

Thanks, I love that little shovel. Some spetnaz dude may have split muj skulls with it but to me it was the perfect spade for cat sanitation.
