.30 pistol that isn't junk?

Postby Zero » Mon Mar 04, 2013 6:55 am

That's the question, so I'm thinking about buying a .30 suppressor, because it can be put on my AK, and my soon to be precision rifle, as well as a .300 blk single shot if I ever bother to go build one. I want a pistol in a .30 caliber (7.62x25?) that isn't trash, and can accept my suppressor and has a mounting rail.

As far as I know, such a firearm does not exist. I hope I'm wrong.

Thompson Center Contender - single shot, but has everything you asked about....could get it in .300 BLK or 7.62x39 to simplified your ammo needs.

any .32acp would also work, but would have to get a threaded barrel or get a threaded extension put on. the .32acp is only a .311" diameter bullet and will fit through a 7.62 suppressor just fine. Walther PP/ PPK would be a good candidate.

I have also seen a number of Russian 1895 Nagant revolvers that have had muzzles threaded and run suppressors. Bullet diameter is the same as your AK. It has a gas sealing cylinder to make it one of the few viable revolvers to suppress.
