That's a no then. Ok, moving down the threat scale - have you ever grazed your knee?

Maybe she just didn't want to be the one that would have to deal with President Trump.

You mean: Hillary Rodham Clinton. Respect.

This is meaningful & exciting. President Hillary Clinton, U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May, there's Angela Merkel, throw in Christine Legarde head of IMF, and for good measure Joan Yellen. At last. Women in charge of Western Civilization. I hope you boys fall in nicely once this is all in place.

Hillary is not a Socialist. Hillary is a Democrat.

Republican strategists have been painting her as a neo-con hawk, a de facto Republican, to keep the Bernie Sanders supporters from ever voting for her, and Bernie supporters are dense enough to buy into that.

Actually, I like hearing Hillary regarded as a Socialist. That would make the Bernie crowd ease up on her. I hear he is expected tomorrow to finally endorse HRC. About time. Truth be told I wouldn't want Bernie the Socialist as Preaident. He's like every Socialist I've ever known; full of spittle and rage and terribly ineffectual.

Oh. I wasn't gonna talk about Hillary here. It riles everyone up.

Hillary is just a grifter. Socialism is just the vehicle to run the scam. If you run for office the leftists are the easiest rubes walking. Promise "change you can believe in" and that you will take from others and give it to them. Instant votes. All of the sex scandals were Bill and the financial scandals were Hillary. Bill just wants a subsidized lavish lifestyle with a lot of babes and Hillary wants a seriously lavish lifestyle and the prestige. Bill also has a bad habit of forcing himself on women, really rape, and Hillary threatens the babes. They're quite the pair. Nasty business these guys. And they are magnets for the misinformed, uninformed and just useful idiots.
The leftists in this country have almost have a lock on the mega corporation political donations while railing against them.it's quite the show. Which is why Bernie made the scene, a lot of the leftists have figured out that they're being duped. The republicans just do favors for their friends, lie, and steal what they can. At least they steal what they feel is reasonable. Oh, and they're cowards and stupid.
I'm sure it's not too different from the the politics in the UK or really around the world. And that's why we are seeing political turmoil around the world. They've kicked the can as far down the road as it could be kicked.

And you still owe me an email.

After the Brexit vote, the UK economy is soaring. (Just kidding—it looks terrible)

Brexit
August 02, 2016
The dire economic warnings that preceded the UK’s vote on whether to exit the European Union were dismissed by supporters of “Brexit” as part of a shadowy conspiracy they dubbed “Project Fear.” But data released since the vote to leave the EU paints a frightening picture of the UK’s economic prospects.
A gauge of UK manufacturing activity dropped to its lowest level (pdf) in more than three years, Markit Economics said this week. The purchasing managers’ index reading of 48.2 for July suggests the industry is contracting—any reading below 50 is consistent with contraction—while in the euro zone manufacturing activity is still growing.

The most recent survey of purchasing managers in the services industry, which makes up 80% of the UK economy, was equally gloomy. Together, these reports suggest that we might not see much, if any, GDP growth in the UK for the rest of this year.

It gets worse. Bank lending to businesses is forecast to shrink 1% this year and nearly 2% in 2017, according to a new report by consultancy EY. Business confidence dropped “drastically” in another recent survey released by an accountancy association. A majority of chief financial officers surveyed by Deloitte said they planned to reduce capital spending and hiring because of Brexit. GfK’s consumer-confidence index registered an 11-point drop in July, the sharpest monthly decline in more than 26 years. In the markets, investors have amassed the biggest bets against the value of the pound in 25 years.
Meanwhile, economic confidence among businesses and consumers in the euro zone has been relatively steady, an index from the European Commission showed (pdf). The index for the UK dropped below the euro zone following the Brexit vote, with all industries registering a fall in optimism and consumer confidence plunging the most:

The Bank of England has the task of steadying the ship. Policymakers are widely expected to cut interest rates on Thursday to the lowest level in the central bank’s 300-year history. Even with this stimulus, Scotiabank recently revised its outlook for the UK to a mild recession in the next few quarters, with forecast GDP growth in 2017 of zero, down from a 2% expectation before.

"Bank of England set to cut rates as survey flags sharpest UK downturn since 2009" - http://uk.reuters.com/article/idUKKCN10E0V1

On top of that, British research is fucked. Universities were effectively frozen out of EU funding immediately after the vote. Some are already planning staff cuts. Did anyone mention that half the students at UK universities are from other EU countries and they pay more than British students? Not to mention all the grad students, postdocs and faculty members.

Good thing you've still got Harry Potter to prop up the economy, otherwise you'd all be totally fucked.

Its all part of the plan. We don't want Euro science which just gave us climate change and eugenics. We want British science which gave us the jet engine.

Eugenics is American "Science" that the Euros borrowed and somehow, through uniquely European innovation found a way to make Eugenics worse (quite a feat).

And Whittle's Gloster was amazing. In the US for some reason we tend to believe the Germans did it because we re-conditioned a bunch of Nazis for our Cold War and Space programs.

I remember seeing this Documentary, forget the name of it but it was BBC. And they interviewed this charming old lady who saw the Gloster fly. She came in and told her family that she saw an airplane flying without a propeller and everyone thought she was mad. The story trickled down to British intelligence and they paid her a nice visit and made her promise not to tell anyone what she had seen and assured her she was not mad.

I liked her because she held her mud for over 70 years until it was declassified and then she told the story again. These days people would have selfies with the top secret aircraft up on instagram in no time and about 1 year later the Chinese would be crashing identical craft into the ocean.

Kind of an interesting choice of topics since it includes something Americans invented but never take credit for and something we did not invent but often take credit.
