South Sudan

Postby Thomas.. » Wed May 11, 2016 3:40 pm

Alright,

My boss wants me to go down to Juba to support local colleagues who are struggling (boring office work sometimes spiced up with international travels).
Anyone with fresh knowledge / experience / travel advice? Visit will be limited to Juba. I will have a local team to assist and guide which should help me not to walk right into trouble, no guards though. Official travel advice in Sweden is to stay the hell out which is on pair with Syria(!) but higher alert than Iraq -although I think they just don’t give to write any detailed advice for a SS whereas for Iraq they need to as we have many citizens of Iraqi descent..

Any suggestions on precautions, restaurants and hotels appreciated!

Yes but he's naked, painted white and commanding a small village. He burned all his phones, computers and jeans on the night of his initiation. Woop woop

Yeah, and what's wrong with that?

But.I'm not. The trip was postponed for other reasons and now postponed again by more obvious reasons.
Our local team has been evacuated as well so no idea what's going on and if there's any work left for us when it calmes down..

Correct, not much action for me although things seem to have calmed down somewhat. The local team is back in country so maybe..
