What knife do you prefer to travel with and why?

Opinel, Emerson, DPX, Victorinox?

Anything by DPx or Jeff Randall (ESEE knives)
I know the law. And I have spent my entire life in its flagrant disregard.

DPx Gear HEST/f and usually a Leatherman Skeletool similar to the one pictured above. I'll carry an Ontario RAT 1 or 2 if I think I may lose/give away my folder for some reason.

Fixed blade if required is a DPx gear, Mora, or ESEE.

Those crappy $5 leatherman impersonations you get in shitty markets.

They suck, but I either lose them or give them to someone before I leave.

a small Benchmade switchblade, I mean, auto opening knife. has a drop point blade. forget about a tanto blade tip. my older emerson cqc 7 has one. great knife but a bitch to sharpen.

DPx folder replaced my Emerson years ago, been everywhere. That DPx got me out of some jams and opened a shit load of beers. Often discretely clipped on my belt at the back. Also carry a HEFT 4 for fixed in my pack, plus an ESEE machete when I'm in jungles. I carry a Gerber Diesel for multitool.
